Just a reminder...

of the Fall Special. I have a couple spots left, so if you are interested, please give me a call or send an email! Also, my LAST day to have a session is November 22nd. Things are progressing well with the bambino inside, but just wanted to make sure if you want a session before the end of the year, then you need to book fast. My October is packed solid, so please email to get one of the few remaining dates in November!

Also, don't miss the post I just put up below! That little girl is one of the cutest!!!!!!!!

Had to post...

The next few shots of this little pumpkin! Oh she is so cute! :) She looks like she thinks she is such a big girl to be playing with "big girl" sunglasses! Love them!

Meet Miss Georgia

As you know, I don't normally use names on this blog. I have a "thing" with it, so I always like to keep it private. Same reason I don't use my kiddos names on here either. So, you should have seen a little clue in the title of this post that this wasn't an ordinary photo session!

An old friend from high school emailed a couple of weeks ago, asking if I would do a session with her 5 month old puppy. Hmmmmm. I seriously had to think about that one. For one, I am not a huge dog person. Two, I have never done a session focused on an animal. I was definitely questioning whether I should or even could do it or not. But, since it was for such a sweet purpose, I decided to go ahead and give it a try. It really was fun. I caught some good shots of Miss Georgia, who, by the way did a fabulous job! So here are some sneak peeks of my unique client with her gorgeous mom, D. :)

I love Georgia's paw sticking out in this one...

This is about the only shot of her laying down...she was a busy little puppy...and should be!

And, then yesterday we had a Fall Festival at my parent's barn. It was a blast! All of the kids had a great time...yummy food, fun games, hay rides pulled by Papa's tractor, bonfire, dancing to some great music... We decided it is going to be a yearly event...well we hope it is anyways. Bean was caught several times saying, "This is the BEST party of MY LIFE!" It was fun to see her excitement in all of the activities, as well as Cakies too. Cakies favorite part had to be the hay ride and dancing. Bean couldn't name one thing that was her favorite..."Everything was my favorite!" Stay tuned for some pictures of the events! So, it was another busy, but GREAT weekend!

Color Change of Blog...

Fall inspired! :) If you like it better the old way, complain with a comment! :)

Yesterday...

Was a beautiful day! The weather here has been fabulous, although, a bit warm still for September. I am totally ready for jeans and sweatshirts! Most importantly, I had a beautiful session with a sweet little one year old girl, Miss L. My goodness...she was THE MOST cooperative little one that I have done yet (including my own...but they actually can be pains!) We were at Wildwood and it started with some tears due to a man (a very old one that I don't think could hear real well!) opening a door right behind where she was sitting, and Mom, her Aunt and I, yelling a couple of times..."Stop, don't open the door." And then a rush in to grab her. I think it gave her quite a fright. But after a few minutes she was all smiles. I got some cute ones of the tears in her eyes...what a precious little thing!

Here are the tears... (you can click on image to make larger!)

and then the smiles started...

and kept on coming! :)

By the way, these would have been posted last night, BUT, Grey's was on, which meant a date for my hubby and me on the couch enthralled with the drama! So, I figured this morning would work for a few sneak peeks!

That is all for now! I hope to get a few more peeks up this weekend...although it is a busy weekend! Session Saturday morning (you will have to wait to see the subject of that one!) and then a family fall fest Saturday day/evening. Should be fun...hayride, games and FOOD! :)

Bunny and C-Man

Here are just a few quick ones from Friday. These two little ones are obviously very special to me, and I love that their personalities were shining that day! C-Man was busy as ever and wanted NOTHING to do with pictures with his sister. All by himself, he didn't mind too much, but trying to get him to be next her for a shot you may have thought was killing him! I did get a few together, and am posting one! Enjoy seeing another part of my family that I cherish so much! :)

This gate kept him busy and somewhat "still" for quite awhile. Love how his eyes catch the light so beautifully!

My beautiful sister!

Cuties...

Love this one of Miss G! :)

Off to celebrate Uncle Ty's 19th birthday! Happy Birthday (Tuesday!)!!!! Love you much!

Two Successful Days...

***Warning***very long post...mostly so I have it on record, but please read if you would like!***

of preschool. Done, under our belt, and well on our way to the "new" schedule of life. I have been so "free" to schedule whatever, whenever, and have caught myself having to readjust sessions, or play dates due to preschool. All is really going well. :)

A few fun things that happened on the first day, Wednesday. We had an outfit all geared up to go, I think even a week ago. She was excited about it and it helped prepare her in getting ready for school and what to expect. Lo and behold, we found out Monday that Wednesday was a color day...and if they had something blue to wear, they were to wear blue. So, back to the drawing board on an outfit. I gave her a couple of shirt choices, but she picked the rest of the outfit out. She also wanted to wear these super cute black crocks, but they gave her blisters the day before, so they weren't going to work. She even tried to tough it out with some band aids, but couldn't do it. So, she picked her shoes too. AND, on top of all of her cuteness, she did her own ponytail, picked her own headband, wore lipstick and perfume. Talk about a girlie girl! :) Oh, she was so sweet!

She also wanted to wear one of my favorite necklaces for the day. That way "if she missed me, she could just rub the necklace and think of me." Is she not the sweetest?

So here are a few from the first official day...

At the top of the steps begging to wear some of my lipstick...

I love this picture. Cakes was very sad the afternoon of Beans first day. She started whimpering on our way out, and I figured she was just tired. When we got in the car, she was in a full out cry. I asked, "What is wrong?" Her response, "I miss Beans. I want to be with my Beans." Heart which was already breaking from leaving my little 4 year old, was now officially broken. Cakies cried until she fell asleep with me in my bed. Thankfully, when she woke up it was time to pick her up, so life was good. This little one is in for an adjustment as well!

Her backpack...And check out the non matching read headband...she is looking very patriotic! :)

This one makes me laugh. At school, waiting to go in, and you can see A-N-X-I-E-T-Y written all over her smile!

Check out her bracelet, in case she missed her favorite best friend cousin, necklace of mine (hidden under her shirt) and new ring...all to help her make it through the day. :)

One more story...maybe! The night before our first day, we read the book, The Kissing Hand. If you don't have this book, and you have little ones, it is a must! We started "Kissing Hands" a long time ago to help Beans and Cakes go to sleep while still being able to feel our kisses if they needed them. Kiss each palm, and when they need them, they put their hands on their cheeks to feel the kiss again. They are like "magic" and they don't ever go away...but do need refreshed every night. Well, I told Beans the night before that I could give her Kissing Hands at school, and I got shot down, "Nah, I will be okay." I looked at my husband, and he wanted to crack up, while I wanted to cry! Anyways, Wednesday I said goodbye to her in her classroom and I was getting ready to leave and she ran over to me. "I need kissing hands!" Um, it took all of my strength to not shed tears right then and there, and to not take her home with me right that second! So I gave her the kisses, a big hug and off we went. I asked later that day if she used them, "Well, no I didn't want anyone seeing what I was doing. Not even my teachers!" She did have to rub her necklace, just once, but I am happy to report that she didn't have to rub her necklace today!

Finally getting settled in...and she made a new friend. Today she reported that she really likes her new friend, and can't wait to see her again! :) Totally growing up before my eyes!

Home safe and sound...with a fun painting project. We got another project today...my refrigerator is going to be even more claustrophobic now that she is in "school"!

So there you have the day. If you stuck around to read all of this, well you are a trooper! I had a great session with too adorable kiddos today. I could go on and on about them, but once you find out they are my niece and nephew you would know I was biased! They were super sweet, and it was a fun activity for all of us this morning! I will try to get some of those cutie patooties posted this weekend! :) Have a great one!

More of My Girls...

My mom is going to be starting an art class and is in need of some b/w pictures of the girls. So, it forced me to sit tonight and find a few of the girls individually. I have been meaning to go through our session from last week and pick some out to post of the girlies. Looking back now and knowing that I complained about Cakies never looking at the camera, well, she did a pretty good job! :) Here are just a few. Have a good night! :)

Beans...(prepare for more of her from her first day of preschool!!!)

Cakes...love this mischievous little grin!!!

Frustrated...

With my program! I was editing a picture, one I had put a decent amount of time into, and BOOM it shut down...without notice. My fault for not saving as I progressed through the image, I do know. So really, I can't be too frustrated, right?

More importantly, here are some more pictures of Mr. L. I have had tons of fun editing this session...what a cute little man! :) Can't wait to get them finished so M can see them all! :)

Look at his cute little grin and the dimple on his cheek...

Love this expression...

This one is so sweet to me...

And of course, I love the little walking pictures...I think I put one in last post with them facing the camera...love this angle even better!

I had a fabulous weekend with my older sister and my Mom. We went to the Country Living Fair (as in the magazine) held in Columbus...can you believe I ventured into such a city?!?!?! We had LOTS of laughs, found many treasures and were able to really enjoy each other without the distractions of every day life. Saturday was H-O-T! And for a prego, it was draining. I found shade often, and rested on friendly vendor's benches or chairs. Some were not so friendly. One lady asked if I was looking to buy the chair (I was sitting on it), looking at something else or just flat out tired? I stood up and turned around to show her my large belly (yes, it is large for date, no exaggerating) and said, "I am very tired." I walked away and sat on a patch of grass in the shade. Probably shouldn't have gotten so bugged, but oh well. So many were so kind and so generous offering the seat they were sitting on, or pulling out a stool. After the 6 hours of walking around my ankle bones were still somewhat visible, but were definitely swollen! We went back the next day, and vendors had different things pulled out...and of course the shopping started over again! We drove home in the horrendous wind that literally moved the van, but we made it safely. My husband always makes fun of my mom because she's so little that a stiff wind could knock her over. Well, it didn't knock her over, but it did make her lose her balance and almost fall over...we all got a good laugh out of it! :)

Well, I am headed to bed. A little bit of shopping tomorrow to finish Beans up to start preschool on Wednesday. Yep, my big girl will be starting 4 year old preschool...open house went well today, and I think she is more excited about it now than she was before. Excited isn't the word...she is less worried now than she was before! Have a good night!

Out of Town...

For the weekend! :) I am going on a "shopping" trip with my sister and my mom this weekend. I am very excited, although I will miss my hubby and girls! So, no posts this weekend, but I will have some more sneak peeks of Mr. L on Monday sometime! Have a good one! :)

Mr. L Brought His Game...

There are so many things that I LOVE about one year old's! Especially when they are walking! They are curious about the whole world, and now that they can walk and are free from the slow world of crawling, well it makes that curiosity grow! They like to put everything in their mouths, which I know is a developmental way they learn. Today, it was a little bit of dirt, a stone and I think something else too? Best thing about a one year old on a photo shoot, is that they feel no "peer" pressure to look at the camera, to give a cheesy grin, and that is when you can truly capture their little soul. This little guy today kept me on my toes (and his Mom too :) ), but it was so much fun. I was so thankful that M was so relaxed and not worried if he wasn't smiling, if he was digging and getting dirty in a little garden area, if he found sticks that he LOVED to hold on to, and that she let him be himself. Those are the pictures that instantly bring a smile to my face. So, I will leave you with just a few of today...so many cute ones of this handsome little guy!!!!

I knew when I saw this one I would love it in b/w, but the color one is so pretty and I love how the green with their red shirts pop.

By the way...isn't M so pretty?

Kissing pictures melt my heart...

Those beautiful eyes...

Dirt and sticks...

Seriously, doesn't this make you smile?

And that inquisitive look...

I have to add (again) that I love this "job". I have met many new people who I feel that I have really made friends with by the time the session is over, have become reacquainted with old friends and have been able to stay in touch better with them, and most of all, I love this job because it gives me such great flexibility with my girls. I make my schedule, I work when they are in bed, or for an hour here and there during the week while they play and giggle with each other. I truly have been blessed, and I am more than thankful for it, and everyone that I have "met" along the way the past 7 months.

My Girls

Here are some pictures from my session with my girls yesterday. I have to admit that I am not as disappointed as I thought I was going to be! I only am posting ones of them together, I will put more of them individually sometime soon.

I had a super fun session this morning with Mr. L and his mom, M, and Grandma. Very, very, very sweet ladies. Like sweeter than frosting, and so sincere! They were very relaxed, let Mr. L have fun, and went with the flow. I felt like we had been friends forever, helps having had contact via email for the past couple of weeks! It was really nice to meet M finally, and capture Little Mr. L. His chocolate brown eyes are to die for. I loved how they caught the light! :) I will post more about that session later!

Nap time! And, time to check out the soon to be new owners of our neighbors house. I haven't posted anything about that move because I have been in denial...but the house has officially sold, and a new family will be coming in. I will be taking post on my driveway "playing" sidewalk chalk to get a glimpse of our soon to be neighbors. Oh how we miss the K family. :(

This was one of the first shots of the day...you can see that Cakes (left) isn't into this at all!!!!

I like this one..even though they are checking out the people working in the garden!

Both of the baby blues...
Beans loves this one...not sure about her squatty pose, but she thinks she looks pretty "cool".
