Happy Birthday N!

Today was a fabulous day. Full of memories from four short years ago...memories that started four years ago yesterday, but continued until today with the birth of our oldest, N. She was beautiful from the beginning, and looking back, so much of her personality was shining through from day one - determined, independent but reserves the right to be shy, outgoing, expressive, sweet and tender. My sweet, sweet girl. Four years old. Where does the time truly go? I am so fortunate to be able to spend my days with her (and M), for I know these years will go fast and are so precious.

The party went well, and N had a blast. It was fun to kind of let her run the show for the night...when to eat, when to open presents, and when to eat cake...and then played like crazy with Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.

And of course a picture...from my session with Lucas on Friday. I know why I prefer on location sessions..."Mom, can I be in it? Can I be in one NOW? Don't forget about our picture with Lucas." And, she didn't let me forget. I liked this one in black and white, but I think that both girls eyes sparkle in color. Yes, N is still in pj's and M would have been too, except that she stripped down to a onesie. N would stay in pj's all day, and sometimes does, can you blame her?

So, Happy Birthday Beans! I love you.

Bummer...

R's session got rescheduled for next week cause the "Mama" wasn't feeling too good...nor did she sound so great! So next week it will be! Hopefully it will be as beautiful out then as it is today! Next Saturday, I have two sessions, so there will be lots of sneak peeks again!

Not My Forte

...but then again, I have never really done them either - Headshots. Here is a chance for me to brag about my younger 20 year old brother (one of the six brothers) Lucas. He is off to NYC next week, for a call back for the Broadway show, Spring Awakening. He is geeked, and so are all of us in the family! She is the star of my website...my first real infant session...my little sweet niece. I can't believe how big she is getting. We had a session today. All went well. The lighting was perfect, Miss K was happy and content and of course looking beautiful. I want to eat her little cheeks! Here are a few that jumped out at me as I was looking through them! Giving Up For the Moment...

I have been obsessing on fixing my blog title... It is now making me crazy! I can't get it "just right", and I happen to be a perfectionist over these types of things. My husband likes to call it obsessive, but I really think perfectionist sounds better...don't you? So, I am done with it for now...just know it isn't how I really would like it to be. Let me know what you think...and know that I will still be pondering on ways to make it better...only giving up on sitting at the computer to fix it!!!!!
P.S. I love the colors...purple is N's favorite color, and I always try to add in places to remind me of her. When M can decide her favorite color it too will be placed all over!

Beautiful Kids!

Finished...and now ready to give to parents! I hope they love them as much as I do! I wanted to share a few more from the sessions this weekend. I will have another fun, busy week/weekend coming up. Session on Thursday (my niece...the star of my homepage website!), two sessions on Saturday - a good friend's son and her family, as well as a pregnancy session of a beautiful friend I went to high school with. It will be so fun! AND, of course Easter is Sunday...so much to be grateful for. Hope you are enjoying your day!

...finished with my sessions from Saturday! I am in LOVE with so many of the pictures...the babies were beautiful, and like I said before, they totally steal my heart! Thanks be to God for a great weekend, and for continually blessing me in this journey. Hope your weekend was wonderful!

What a Day!

I have to say, although it was an extremely busy day, it was also an extremely fun day! It started out early with my girls, just "chillin'" in our pajamas. I had a repeat client for a 3 month session at 10. Miss C, beautiful, smiley and getting bigger. I feel like I have this special little attachment to the babies that I shoot, because they always steal my heart during sessions. At 12:30, I had a FUN session with Mister Q. Okay, he is one of the cutest little baby boys I have ever seen. I want to kiss his cheeks all over. You will see a sneak peek of him and you too will fall in love. To top the day off, we celebrated my husband's grandfather's 80th Birthday! He is a fabulous man, and it was a GREAT party! So, Happy Birthday Grandpa (even though it really isn't for another week yet!!!) Okay, the sneak peeks are coming. I had a hard time choosing my favorite with Mr. Q...of course I am far from done. I love the one I picked of Miss C...her eyes are total diamonds! I hope the parents enjoy, and hope they love the pictures as much as I do! Until next time...

Thanks Again

Well, I asked, and I received. I now have two free prego sessions scheduled, and I am very excited for them. They are a total win win situation for everyone. I get prego experience, pictures for my website and two fun days. They receive a free session and the ability to choose to purchase pictures only if they want to, and if so, then they also receive a free 8 by 10...what could be better. If you are a prego and are interested in a session, I would love to still schedule a time for you. I am amazed that I have so many sessions scheduled. I am booked on my weekends through the end of April. So if a weekend is needed, please check your books and get with me on a date so we can make sure you can get a session scheduled!

As of today...

There really isn't anything new to post today. I took some shots of my niece and nephew today, so I hope they turn out well. Several sessions are booked between now and the end of April. The weekends fill up fast, being that most people can't do them during the day. I am very excited and anxious for the upcoming sessions. I have children of all ages, and a PREGO!!!! I am excited for those also, but they aren't until April 12th. I wanted her to be at least 7 months so the belly was nice and round!!! No pictures right now...so until next time!

Isn't She Beautiful...

I have been dying to get pictures of my sister in the snow. I think it will be cool for her to have something different than her friends for her Senior pictures. Of course we will also be doing spring/summer shots, but I had to get a start on it now...since we had just had a beautiful ice/snowstorm. I was nervous that it would maybe be the last....BUT, looks like we are in for a big one tomorrow night! I love where I live...all sorts of different, beautiful weather with our seasons. I also am posting one from my parents house of their barn. I think it is so pretty with the flag hanging. That is all for now! :)
