Four Months Old, Prom, Mother's Day, Soccer

Here is a catch up of what we have been up to the past week!

Little Man turned 4 MONTHS old on the 7th...what in the world...where did four months go? He is an excellent little baby. He weighs in at 15.10 lbs and is 26 inches...putting him at the 50th percentile all around. He rolled over two times three weeks ago, and hasn't done it since! Too much work to do that, so he is content rolling up onto his side and scooting around in a small circle. He sleeps through the night, most nights...and is up for a feeding around 5:30/6:00, then back to sleep he goes. He sucks on his fingers and thumbs all the time, but uses a paci when he gets sleepy. He still loves to be swaddled when he sleeps, still likes to be carried around in my sling, and loves to giggle at his silly sisters. They make him laugh the hardest! He is very ticklish along the sides of his belly, his thighs and his chin. Tickling is sure to bring a smile; even when he is cranky. He has brought so much love to our little family, and it feels like he has just always been with us. :)
(I am too tired to fix the above being like it is...bear with me!)

My Mother's Day was wonderful. I worked in the church nursery that morning, where I ended up rocking my Little Man the whole time. Three workers and three babies...you better believe I was rocking my own! He just chilled, and it was relaxing to just be there with him and not worry about "wasting" time by just rocking with him...I fret over that all the time at home...always feel like I am taking time away from the girls...momma guilt, never ends does it! After church, I had a family session. I know, some think I was crazy to do it on Mother's Day, but it was the best time for that family, and it was during nap time at my house...so all I missed was a nap! Don't get me wrong...I love myself a good ole nap! :) We spent the evening at my mom's...pizza and family! I got some beautiful lillies, that I have yet to take a picture of...yikes! An extremely sweet card from my husband, and one from my kiddos...and then all the homemade projects from Bean. One from preschool melted my heart...it was a fill in the blank about me...it is priceless and goes into my keep forever box (I am picky on what goes in there!) :)

I was being attacked with kisses...loved it!

My baby sister went to her Senior Prom this past weekend. It is sad that all of the dress up days are over...and I can't believe she will be graduating in a few short weeks. We have been watching/taking Prom or Homecoming pictures for the past 12 years...it was weird to think that this was the last. Anyways, my little sister, Kiersten, is absolutely beautiful. She had a beautiful red dress (I wore red my senior year...to Tom's Prom), her hair was gorgeous, and she was glowing. She had a great time with her friends; and I am so happy that she went.

Bean started playing soccer this year and she loves it. Her first game was this past week, and although she really wanted to score a goal, she was beyond thrilled that she kicked the ball...tons. Tom and I were pleased that she actually paid attention to the game itself...we were worried that she would be too concerned with her hair, or just want to sit and socialize...but she liked it, and she slept like a champ that night. The park and her game added up to a tired girl!

I love this one...if he doesn't have a paci or a finger/thumb, then his bottom lip will do for sucking upon!

Jumping picture...her idea!

Monkey see...monkey do!

The E Family

I had a great time this past weekend with this family. The littlest one is Mr. P, from a few posts previous to this one. They were a fun loving, energetic family. They put up with the crowd at the Botanical Gardens, especially with the parking! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to capture your family!

Saturday's Windy Session

Mr. B was as cute as ever again this past Saturday. The day started out looking quite pretty, and even a nice temperature. Lo and behold, time for the session came, and it clouded over, wind blew huge gusts, and it was almost cold out! Mr. B however, was a champ, and even though the session was quick, it was a great one! Thanks D and J for allowing me to capture your little guy again! :)

Pretty, Gorgeous, Marvelous, Beautiful

The girls were playing Barbie's...still are. I was feeding Little Man...no longer am, wouldn't be typing! :) And here is a quick bit of conversation that I hear:

Cakies: My girl going to be pretty. No, her be Borgeous.
Beanie: Oh, Cakes, do you mean Marbleous?
Cakies: Yeah, them all bootiful.

I had to hold my laughter in...love my little girls and their sweetness! :)

The W Girls and Happy Birthday

Here are a few sneak peeks from this past Sunday afternoon session. Four darling sisters, ranging from 15 to one and a half. They were very sweet, cooperative, and I had a great time getting to know each of them.

Oldest to youngest...
Miss A

Miss A

Miss H...

Miss L...do you recognize her from a previous session?!?!?!? She is getting so big!

Sisterly love...

Tired piggies from walking around Wildwood...

And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my mom, also known as our Mimi! We started her celebration with dinner last night, lunch today and then some dessert this evening! :) We love you Mimi...and thanks for all that you do for us!

Another birthday worth recognizing....Little Man! He is FOUR months old today! Where in the world have the past four months gone? He is a happy little guy, has rolled over once, but hasn't done it again since. I really think it was just too much work for him to move his little round body! He is laughing, and smiles all the time...especially at his big sisters. We are so blessed to have him in our lives!

Well, more posts coming...and of course I need to get more pics of my kiddos up here!

Senior Session...

This beautiful Senior girl, Miss B, is my sister Kiersten's bestie. This gorgeous girl came all the way from Indiana for this session. The morning couldn't have been more beautiful; great light, great setting, and a great temperature! What a gorgeous weekend all in all!

Here are a few of the beautiful young lady...to B, I hope you enjoy them, and aren't too critical of yourself like my lovely sister who thinks she looks funny in half of her pictures!!!! LOL!!!!

...too cute!

...love all the dandelions in this one...the yellow is so pretty!

Congratulations...

I failed to say that in my previous post regarding J and K's wedding! Trying to recount the trip, and not make it too long of a post, I didn't even say congrats!

So, CONGRATULATIONS to J and K! We love you both very much, and we were both completely honored to be a part of your day! Can't wait to see you guys soon!
Love to both of you!

The Long Awaited Wedding Post...

****Warning: this post may seem a little haphazard, and a little long, so bear with it, and read what you would like from it! :)****

I decided tonight would be the night to post about the wedding. No reason in particular, I really just wanted to post some shots from it. Unfortunately, I left my camera in the hotel room on MANY of the occasions...like the bridal luncheon, the rehearsal dinner and the WEDDING itself!!!! So, I only had it with me at the reception...and even then, I had a little boy slung on me and was watching 2 little girls, so I didn't get to take quite as many as I would have liked. I didn't get all the details (but you can check them out here...Shelly Valentine...their photographer) that I wanted to, or even much of the beautiful bride up close, Aunt K, and got a one good one of Uncle J when Cakies was getting sleepy and she walked right up to him to grab a dance with him!

Our trip was wonderful. It was filled with spending time with Grandma and Grandpa (thanks for all of your help), meeting K's family, and catching up with my husband's "second" family...the Hite family is such a loving, fun family, and I am honored to be consider a part of it!

The trip was supposed to be a 7.5 hour straight drive, but with kiddos and stops, we made it in just under 9. And, it went so much better than anticipated. Little Man did pretty darn well, and only had to stop 2 times to eat. His feedings came at great times, because the girls were getting anxious to get out of the car a bit. Tom would take the girls into a restaurant to get some food, so "exercise" (dancing, spinning and marching) near our table. Little Man and I would feed in the car, stretch out, and then join the rest of the family inside. The ice cream stop was the biggest hit, even for Tom! :)

Our hotel room worked out great, with Grandma and Grandpa across the hall to help watch the kids. Tom and I got to GO OUT and enjoy ourselves with the bridal party the first night we were there. Friday, Tom golfed, and I spent most of the time chillin out with the girls and G and G. We swam, took a walk, and found a great children's museum CMOE'S. We visited the museum Saturday morning before the wedding. It was a great treat for the girls, and helped to keep them nice and busy! Of course, I forgot my camera...I have good excuses...getting three kids ready to go and out the door by myself (Tom was the best man so was gone doing best man "duties" most of the weekend) requires a lot of brain cells...so they were all used up and remembering the camera was last on my list! Oh, well...we weren't ever late anywhere!

The wedding itself was BEAUTIFUL! Their wasn't a detail left out, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Tear of course spilled from my eyes watching K walk down the aisle with her father, and then I would glance up at J, and see him beeming as he watched her walk down...it was beyond precious. They are a fabulous couple, and are perfect for each other. In fact the first time we met K, Tom and I both said to each other when they left that she was going to be the one. 2 years later...and she is!!!! K and J also asked me to do a reading in their wedding, and I couldn't have been more honored. At the rehearsal we went through when we (J's sister and I had back to back readings) were to walk up to the front of the church to do our reading. We were told that our readings would be up there for us, so we wouldn't need to bring ours up with us. So reading time came...walk to the front, and voila...my reading wasn't there. I shuffled the papers a couple of times and it really wasn't there. Hmmmmm. My stomach sort of dropped, and I looked over at J and K, and smiled, and then over to the priest and mouthed that it wasn't here. He promptly walked over, and checked...verifying to me that I wasn't totally crazy, and then he went and got a copy that was just around the corner. I so should have thrown D under the bus and read her reading, and then she would have gotten up there and would have been lost!!!! Everyone got a good laugh out of all of it!

***Warned you that this would be a bit all over!***

The reception was gorgeous, and one of my favorite parts was the candy bar...as soon as you walked in, there was all sorts of candy for your choosing...yummy!!!! Tom did a fantastic job with his speech, had people laughing, made some great points about J without ripping him (which I loved!) and I couldn't have been more proud of him.

All in all, it was a fabulous weekend. J and K had a complete fairytale wedding...every detail was complete...from luncheon's to rehearsal dinner, (Lynn, great work...it was beautiful, you gave a wonderful toast/speech, and your love for both J and K shone through) to the fun little activity bags with a home made coloring book about J and K (kudos to Lynn, again!), the flowers, centerpieces, table settings, favors, EVERYTHING! I seriousl could go on and on about it! But, it is now getting late, your retinas are probably burning (if you are still reading) and I want to post some pictures!

While J and K were greeting guests at the door of the reception hall, music was playing and ALL the little girls were out on the dance floor...barefoot...and shaking thier groove thang! :) Bean was a total serious dancer, and this is one of her serious faces, with a completely serious dance move...just imagine a little shaking going on with the arms in the air!

The all loved the lights on the floor with the intials of J and K...and loved dancing on them!

...one of my favorites.

Cakes with her own little groove...

A sleepy little Cakies with her Uncle J...Love this picture!

...then clinging to her daddy (love this one too!)...

My hands were free for a few minutes and I was able to catch a few of these fun moments! I spared K's sister, and didn't post any of the pictures where she was in handcuffs...it was cute! :)

...Another one I love...

On our way home. The girls were watching a video, and Maddie at least humored me with a smile, even though she wouldn't look at me!

My cute little guy snoozin' away!

Bean, not breaking her concentration from the screen...this is why I have to limit TV for her...she would seriously watch it all day if I let her. Ummmm, does that qualify for a TV junkie?? She may need rehab!
That is all for now! I have several sessions from this weekend and today that will be posted sometime soon!

"Saturday...

In the park"...that should bring a little smile to my husband as he likes to sing that song to Bean every Friday...and Bean in turn screams! :)

Seriously though, Saturday in the park, Wildwood that is, was beautiful! And I had the opportunity to capture a beautiful family.

The H Family...
You might recognize this little cutie, Mr. Q, from previous sessions...

His big brothers...C and D...who were super good sports. Really and truly, when you are a high school/jr. high boy, do you really want to wake up early on a Saturday morning to go have family pictures taken? I didn't think so...but these two were great!

...and even a little goofy!

The beautiful couple in charge of these handsome boys...

Thanks for a fun morning. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

And, can you believe I still haven't posted about the wedding/trip we made a couple of weeks ago...pretty pathetic, but I will blame it on being pretty busy! :) Lynn (you know it pangs me to say it, but writing it is so much easier!), I have pictures that I need to email to you... :)
