Sneak peeks of the family session last week...some other favorites from my plethora of boy sessions...and others to be posted.
Thanks for waiting for sneak peeks. Bummed today's session was postponed...that cutie pie little girl will be worth the wait for a nicer, less gloomy day!

I'm Editing...
...but I had to take a quick break to write the cuteness that came out of my Beans today. We were coloring (what day don't we?), and she was working on a special picture for me. I was working on the big Cinderella poster (that she wants to hang in our media room...Tom's room in the basement...don't think it is going to fit so well with the UM decor!) coloring the grass green. It was the only part left, she wanted it colored, but she didn't want to do it. She is very controlling over these posters that she got from her birthday, and gives strict instructions as to what colors she wants where. She is also VERY good about letting Cakes color. Cakes doesn't stay in the lines at all, so it takes much self control and self talk to convince herself that it is okay. She is a sweetie! Okay back to the coloring. Cakes woke up from her nap and wanted to join in. She of course wanted to color the grass her own choice, but we convinced her green was a good a choice. Cakes is coloring (scribbling very hard, pointing out to me that she uses her left hand I use my right and then tries to switch which makes things worse...convinced her to use her left...sorry about the tangent!) and is in the right spot making dark green grass. My coloring is very light green...the lighter the faster right? Bean looks over and notices. "Hey Mom, it is okay that your grass is colored light and Cakies is dark." I agreed, and she was quiet for about 30 seconds. Then she adds, "Cakes grass just has fertilizer on it, and yours doesn't, but it still looks good." Then back to her project.
What FOUR year old thinks of fertilizer on the grass making it greener?? Only a suburban one for sure! Alright, break over!

Miss Baby J...
This is my apology to my good friends, C and R for waiting over a WEEK for a sneak peek! So sorry, but right now I feel like I am just keeping my head above water with all of the editing, sessions, orders and all else going on! That isn't a complaint, I am thankful that God has blessed this little business of "mine", and I am thankful for all the great people I have been able to meet the past 10 months. You all become my "friends", even if I only spent an hour or so with you!
Here are a few sneak peeks. Beans helped pick out which images to do a quick edit on, and put up for a peak. "Nope, not cute. Oh yeah, that one looks good." It was pretty sweet. After all, she was my assistant that afternoon, along with Cakies. They did a great job listening and helping, up until the very end. Who could blame a 4 and 2 year old for getting bored after an hour? I did treat them to extra play time on the playground, so all was well then!
Okay, here they are...

Cakes Story
Yep, I am still up editing, and reading, and am going to be kicking myself tomorrow that I didn't go to bed before now! YIKES!
Just a quick story. Many of you know that Tom was out of town last week in Texas. He was in Big Bend National Park...way, way, way far away! He of course came home baring gifts. Beans got a T-shirt, which she loves, and Cakes got a stuffed animal. It is called a Javelina (Hav-a-Lee-na). It looks like a pig, but it isn't, and they are all over the southwest dessert...also known as Collard Peccary (we have a book about them...I am not knowledgable about these random animals!!!). Anyways, Cakes loves her Javelina. She ran around that night so excited shouting, "My Javelina!" but her pronounciation was a little off...being two, her "L's" are not so great! Out of her mouth she was yelling, "My Hav-a-Ween-a!" Now if you say it out loud, you should be laughing. Tom and I could barely contain ourselves. Thankfully, we use the anatomically correct names for body parts, so it meant nothing to her. She has crawled in bed with me the past 2 mornings, with her "jeesh" (blanket) and then announces, "my got my havaweena". Come on in baby girl!
Be sure to check out my post below, and also check out the new button on my right...7x7. It is a great blog that I have been following with a great way to pray scripture specifically for your kids. If you have time to read her blog, I promise it (God) will move you in ways you didn't think possible, and be prepared to have a box of tissues with you!
Alright, to bed I go! Have a great Wednesday!

Lots of work to get to...if you are waiting for a sneak peek, I am sorry! I will get them up soon, I promise! :)

Miss K...
Is ONE! I was going to write about how special Miss K is to me, but the words aren't coming out how I need them too. This is my third try at composing this entry, and I have to say that I will have to write more about this special little girl that was born on Halloween last year, just three days before we lost Thomas, on another day. Just know that she brought me peace and hope during a very sad time in my life, and by no means was the timing of her birth and Thomas' death a coincidence. God had His hand in it all...because His timing is perfect.
Here is a peak at her now...

And yet another favorite expression, laughing very hard and making that funny humming sound (you know what I mean if you have met her!)...if you look closely at her smile, you can see one of her "fangs"...her little eye teeth made their presence known before her two front teeth, so she looks like she has little fangs...I LOVE THEM!!!!!
More to come of this little lady, but I think I will head to bed before 2:00 tonight...it was a killer today...hoping that my girls sleep until 10:00 (those of you who know them should be laughing at me right now!) Tom comes home tomorrow, after a long but successful work week in Texas.
Had a great girls pajama party tonight...will have to post those pictures sometime when I am caught up! Stay tuned for more of Miss K, Baby J and a beautiful family session from today!
Goodnight!

Laughter...
Is the best medicine for any good or bad day! (Thankfully, we have had a great day today!) Cakes is at the extremely entertaining age of 2 1/2 (always entertaining, not always funny!) As I am sitting here at the computer, reading another person's blog with a similar hardship that we faced a year ago and reading her testimony that glorifies God beyond belief and one that brings me to tears, I hear Cakes little feet walking down the steps.
I turn and ask her if she is done resting, and notice that she has no pants or diaper on!
I asked her why her diaper is off and why she is walking around naked...
"Oh, it so, so wet!" with her little froggy smile and raised eyebrows. "I throw it in the gawbage." Same smile.
Not sure why I laughed so hard, but it made my belly hurt. She continued and sat down on her little princess chair, "I not potty on da chair. Oh, I go potty on da toyet!" She got up went and sat on the toilet and just stared at me...nothing of course.
And just now, my little peanut ran upstairs to get a pair of new big girl undies (I am down to ONE diaper, so I told her she had to wear her undies even though she asks to wear a diaper until I get a new box) is sitting next to me eating Craisins saying, "Oh, I so so hungry, Momma!" (even though she had a snack of too many goldfish during her rest)
She is realizing "so so" means more than just plain old wet or plain old hungry.
Her little chatter can bring a smile, a giggle and a full out laugh to me...always.
No pictures to post...but I do have a lot of work ahead of me still! Had a great session with a beautiful friend and her family today. The kids were beyond exceptional, and we were able to get everything done before it started to rain. AND, another Cakes note, she had to go with me today, and you would have hardly guessed she was there...so well behaved, and I was so proud of her!
Stay tuned for some sneak peeks sometime this weekend! :)

Another Cute Boy Session...
Like I said in a previous post, I have had so many little boys lately. They all are super cute and super fun! This little one was no different. It was beautiful this past Saturday, which makes it great for outdoor shots with little ones. Mr. P is 18 months old, and although it took him a bit to warm up to the idea of pictures, he did a fabulous job. Quickly proofing, there were so many different expressions...and I love to capture each of them. Both mom and dad made it to the session, and it was wonderful meeting you both...and hope you enjoy a few sneak peeks. Here are just a few...

He had a blast on this fence...and didn't want to leave it...have got some cute crying faces from that reaction! :)
Hope you are having a good day! "Rest" time is about over!
Love this yawning one...
K, I think the hat turned out adorable...especially with the red leaves...

Spot Opened...
Just wanted to let all know that I have a time slot open on this Saturday...if you are interested, give me a call or shoot me an email! Thanks!

Session...
We have had beautiful weather this week and it is to continue the next couple of days...but TODAY, November 4th...I was STUNG by a bee...on the bottom palm of my hand...the part that drags on the desk while editing with the mouse...irritating me! So, if nice weather means angry bees...I will take the coldness! This happened at the end of the session thankfully, and got me instead of the girls...another thankful thing! OH YEAH, I also got bit by a mosquito! Seriously, this is NOVEMBER!!!!
Headed Out to Vote...
and taking the girls with me. Hoping the lines aren't too long! Just a reminder, although I am sure you won't forget, get out and vote today!
Praying for our Country...
***Update - voting line was slim to none...the girls didn't even have time to eat their Skittles...bribery to be good is always a good thing! Have a great day!

And then headed to bed! Set the record...three in one night (although blogger counts this one as a new day...I am still operating on "yesterday" time!)
This session is from Saturday, and again were repeat clients! I love repeat clients! I feel like I get to know them even more, get to see them grow and have more fun the second time around. These two little boys (lots of boys lately!) are a ton of fun! The oldest, Mr. D is 4 and Mr. P is 1! :) Mr. D is as cute as can be, full of boy energy, and did a fabulous job waiting and walking around the pond to get back to the play area! Mr. P, sweet as can be, beautiful brown eyes, his cute little man clothes...all put a smile on my face. We got a few shots with mom A also...sorry those aren't making the sneak peek tonight...but I am excited to share some of those also! :)
"A" picked the location...Oak Openings. I haven't been there in YEARS!!!! It is a little bit of a drive, but completely worth it...absolutely stunning all around. I could have walked around forever just looking at the surrounding beauty...but my *little* feet and legs would have been aching especially since I had a session that afternoon also!
Great weekend, and stay tuned...two more sessions to share...hopefully tomorrow evening! :)

P.S. "A" did a great job dressing these little guys...fun layers, great colors, hats, cute shoes (Robeez...have seen them on about 5 little boys in the past 2 weeks in my sessions...never knew of them...can't wait to get a pair for our next little bundle!!)

water, bridges, colorful trees...and best of all the sweet little ones...

Another session from last week...The "S" family. Mr. B is one!!!! I did his nine month session, and he has changed so much in the past three months! He has some cute hair growing in...little teeth, and lots of smiles! One year old's aren't supposed to be this easy to photograph, but this little guy was happy, smiley and loved the sound of my camera! I have to give a HUGE THANKS to D and J for helping me find my cell phone that fell out of my pocket. It had fallen out while I was laying on the ground. It happened near the beginning of the session, but I didn't realize it until almost the very end when I went to check the time. We retraced steps, and they continued to call it until we found it. I so tried to act like it wasn't a big deal, but I think by that point I had broken out into a full body sweat!!!! Thanks to you both, I have my phone, my sanity and means of communication! Alright...on to sneak peeks!

The spot where I lost my phone...
he is so sweet...
he is so sweet...
I know I post a lot of "smooching" pictures...but I can't help but fall in love with them knowing the love that parents have for their little ones...ahhhh.
Busy, Busy, Busy...
We will see how many sneak peeks I can get up here tonight! My husband is out of town for the week, which leaves my evenings extremely free (unfortunately) especially when I don't have a show that I "must see". Those are Sundays, Thursdays, and I try to catch one Wednesday, but can live without it! :)
Here are a few of a fun boy session last week. Mr. D turned one, so the session was for him, and also was to get all the boys together. That was a difficult feat, but I loved every minute of it! With only having my two girls, seeing the boys interact, playing with sticks, chasing squirrels, playing in the dirt (like within minutes of being at the park, and their mom saying "try not to get dirty!"), having a sibling quarrel...I loved it! It brought back many memories of growing up with my SIX brothers, and running along side with them...until I became "too cool" to play with sticks or dirt. Although, a game of backyard football, I was always up for...even through high school...then they became way better than me, and it wasn't as fun! Poor loser, I know.
Mr. D...the big one year old! Don't you love his hair color?

The little cookie cutter boys...
This one cracks me up. Mr. S on the end looks as though he is trying to be the dad of the boys and make sure that Mr. D is doing what he should be...too cute! :)

Love how the littlest one is lagging behind and checking out to see if we were coming...

Well, to end things for now...who knows what will get done tonight (I am still hearing my little one talking in her bed, which means a trip up to see what is going on!) Remembering my little Thomas Richard...one year ago today...birthed and held my little boy after he had gone to be with our Maker. Not a day goes by that my heart doesn't miss him, and that my mind doesn't wander off and think of him. God has been good, and blessed me with another little life inside of me that wouldn't be here, if my baby Thomas was...so I have to be thankful, and rejoice in knowing that I will see him again. The weather today couldn't have been better, and the girls and I had a great time with each other. Such sweethearts (that can also make me crazy!!!) that love me completely with all of my imperfections...and there are many.
Back to work. Hope you are having a great week, and if you are in the NWO area, enjoy the beautiful days to come. More sessions this week...if you are hoping to squeeze one in, the time is running short, so shoot me an email or give me a call. November 22nd is my last day (excluding newborns).
**Update...just heard from my hubby and he has cell service in his lodge...and hopefully internet access. The last time he went there was no cell or internet and we talked very minimally through a pay phone. So that is a TOTAL bonus to help get through the week! :)
**Update Number 2...Tom has internet service also!!! Yippie! This will cut down on his lengthy hours of catch up with emails when he returns, and allow the girls to send him fun notes and love you's whenever they want! The past two things have made my evening! :)

If you are wondering their ages...4, 3, 2, 1 (all about 13 months apart, and Mom is expecting another little bundle!) How fun will they all have growing up so close in age with each other...I would love to watch their Christmas morning this year! What great kids!

Weekend Sessions
Saturday...
I love this little man! Mr. Q turned one a couple of weeks ago. He is the son of a good friend, and he has the best personality ever...tons of smiles, laughs, giggles and lots of moving! It was a little gloomy and a tad chilly the afternoon of this session, but so far they are turning out great!
Turned out to be a beautiful day. Warmer, but a little windy...but that made for some cool shots! Here is the beautiful "B" family, who are great friends. You have seen Miss A on here before...she is getting so big, and will be a big sister in the beginning of January! :)
Her pigtails crack me up...love them!

I love the next two...we kept asking A to kiss the baby, or touch the baby...
...she found the baby! Too sweet.

So, that is the weekend. Still have plenty of proofing to do, and I need to do it quick! :) Two family sessions tomorrow (supposed to be warmer and sunny!!!!), two on Saturday and one on Sunday...so, there will be plenty to look at for the next week!
And, for those of you wondering how I am doing, but mainly how much longer I have to go...10 weeks from today is my scheduled c-section...so the count down is on. I always feel like the pregnancy flies once I hit that mark. I am feeling great, looking large, and getting more and more excited every day to meet the little one inside. I am hoping to have my husband take a turn as photographer within the next couple of weeks to get a few shots of my belly with my girls. If I like them, I will post them! ;) I am getting the urge to "nest" a bit, but haven't had a whole lot of time to do so. I want to clean closets, organize rooms, drawers, and get all of our neutral clothing ready to go...rambling...if you kept reading, your the best! :)
Have a good day!

Rain, Rain....
Go away...you are ruining my session today!
Hoping it goes away for tomorrow too...not a ton of room to reschedule those sessions...but if so, we will make it work! :)
Hope your day is brighter than it is outside!

Mr. A is a Senior...
I have known "A" and his family since I was young, and he was just a tiny little thing. I haven't seen the family in quite some time, but ran into his mom, "B" at the MFM doctor office when we were getting our ultrasound (she was my nurse). We did a little catching up, and were able to catch up even more at the session on Monday. I was somewhat shocked when I saw Mr. A on Monday! He stepped out of the car, and I couldn't believe how much older he looked! What a sweet young man, and I was totally privileged to do his senior session! :) Hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!
So far (which I am not far!), this is my favorite...
Trying...
To post a few shots from the Senior session on Monday, BUT, my computer is acting up, I am up WAY TOO late as it is, and my patience...well, it is very thin! I am calling it a night!
Hope to get some up tomorrow...during "rest" time! :)

A Posting Fool...
Since my session this morning was postponed, I decided to use that time to get more work done! I finished my family session from last week...with breaks for breakfast, playing ghost, playing pretend daughter, and listening to the girls work out some of their disagreements. I have some more favorites from that session to post. Mr. A's senior session went well yesterday. Thankfully the rain and dark gloomies held off until after the dinner hour. It was a beautiful day, and I am so glad we were able to get the session completed. What a sweet young man...his sneak peeks are going to have to wait though! ;)
