My Loves...
These are from the beginning of November...again just getting to them. The first two melt my heart...nothing like my girls with their Daddy. :)

On a side note, if you could please keep a friend of mine in your prayers, I would be so grateful. Her husband was deployed for 16 months last Friday, and she found out this week that she miscarried her little baby somewhere between 8 and 10 weeks. She is a sweet, sweet woman, and I know would appreciate any prayers at this time. She has two kids 3 and almost 1, and I am sure they could use continued prayers throughout her husbands deployment. Thanks ahead of time! :)

Catching Up...
...with pictures from my own girls. These were taken in mid-November, at my mom's house. We were going on a nature hike in their woods. My dad had just cleared paths, and had taken both girls down on the tractor for a ride. They were both excited to show me the "big" woods. I remember them being SO big when I was little, and spending countless hours just playing in them. They weren't so big this time around, but the girls had a blast running through them.

Big girl Beanie...

Love this one for so many reasons...

The poser...always...

Cakies mouth was wide open in almost every shot!

And the next ones... Yep, it is only 7 days til Christmas...and here are Halloween pictures!?!?!?!? This fall was SO busy, that I seriously couldn't spend any extra time even looking through the ones I took of them. Thankfully, I at least did take them!!!! So here are some more catch up...one of these days, I will actually be to the "cans" pictures...which are still in the camera!

...thrilled to be sitting...
...watching the neighbors and waiting patiently to join them...

My Beautiful Mariposa...if you don't know who she is...don't worry, unless you have a little girl about this age, you would have NO CLUE! She is a Barbie Princess...the one she happened to be in love with at the time...of course a NEW Barbie Princess is out, so she of course loves that one...good thing Christmas is right around the corner!

Posing...again. She put her hands like that herself...no prompting! :)

This expression is priceless. This is EXACTLY what she looks like when she is- asking/begging/or right before whining starts- for something. Here I believe she too was wanting to join the neighbors. Many of you in the family have seen this face, and it is SO HARD to ever say NO to! :)

Okay, that is all for now. Stay tuned for more at some point...I could keep going forever it feels like! :)

I'm Editing...
...but I had to take a quick break to write the cuteness that came out of my Beans today. We were coloring (what day don't we?), and she was working on a special picture for me. I was working on the big Cinderella poster (that she wants to hang in our media room...Tom's room in the basement...don't think it is going to fit so well with the UM decor!) coloring the grass green. It was the only part left, she wanted it colored, but she didn't want to do it. She is very controlling over these posters that she got from her birthday, and gives strict instructions as to what colors she wants where. She is also VERY good about letting Cakes color. Cakes doesn't stay in the lines at all, so it takes much self control and self talk to convince herself that it is okay. She is a sweetie! Okay back to the coloring. Cakes woke up from her nap and wanted to join in. She of course wanted to color the grass her own choice, but we convinced her green was a good a choice. Cakes is coloring (scribbling very hard, pointing out to me that she uses her left hand I use my right and then tries to switch which makes things worse...convinced her to use her left...sorry about the tangent!) and is in the right spot making dark green grass. My coloring is very light green...the lighter the faster right? Bean looks over and notices. "Hey Mom, it is okay that your grass is colored light and Cakies is dark." I agreed, and she was quiet for about 30 seconds. Then she adds, "Cakes grass just has fertilizer on it, and yours doesn't, but it still looks good." Then back to her project.
What FOUR year old thinks of fertilizer on the grass making it greener?? Only a suburban one for sure! Alright, break over!

Laughter...
Is the best medicine for any good or bad day! (Thankfully, we have had a great day today!) Cakes is at the extremely entertaining age of 2 1/2 (always entertaining, not always funny!) As I am sitting here at the computer, reading another person's blog with a similar hardship that we faced a year ago and reading her testimony that glorifies God beyond belief and one that brings me to tears, I hear Cakes little feet walking down the steps.
I turn and ask her if she is done resting, and notice that she has no pants or diaper on!
I asked her why her diaper is off and why she is walking around naked...
"Oh, it so, so wet!" with her little froggy smile and raised eyebrows. "I throw it in the gawbage." Same smile.
Not sure why I laughed so hard, but it made my belly hurt. She continued and sat down on her little princess chair, "I not potty on da chair. Oh, I go potty on da toyet!" She got up went and sat on the toilet and just stared at me...nothing of course.
And just now, my little peanut ran upstairs to get a pair of new big girl undies (I am down to ONE diaper, so I told her she had to wear her undies even though she asks to wear a diaper until I get a new box) is sitting next to me eating Craisins saying, "Oh, I so so hungry, Momma!" (even though she had a snack of too many goldfish during her rest)
She is realizing "so so" means more than just plain old wet or plain old hungry.
Her little chatter can bring a smile, a giggle and a full out laugh to me...always.
No pictures to post...but I do have a lot of work ahead of me still! Had a great session with a beautiful friend and her family today. The kids were beyond exceptional, and we were able to get everything done before it started to rain. AND, another Cakes note, she had to go with me today, and you would have hardly guessed she was there...so well behaved, and I was so proud of her!
Stay tuned for some sneak peeks sometime this weekend! :)

More of My Girls...
My mom is going to be starting an art class and is in need of some b/w pictures of the girls. So, it forced me to sit tonight and find a few of the girls individually. I have been meaning to go through our session from last week and pick some out to post of the girlies. Looking back now and knowing that I complained about Cakies never looking at the camera, well, she did a pretty good job! :) Here are just a few. Have a good night! :)

Beans...(prepare for more of her from her first day of preschool!!!)
Cakes...love this mischievous little grin!!!

My Girls
Here are some pictures from my session with my girls yesterday. I have to admit that I am not as disappointed as I thought I was going to be! I only am posting ones of them together, I will put more of them individually sometime soon.
I had a super fun session this morning with Mr. L and his mom, M, and Grandma. Very, very, very sweet ladies. Like sweeter than frosting, and so sincere! They were very relaxed, let Mr. L have fun, and went with the flow. I felt like we had been friends forever, helps having had contact via email for the past couple of weeks! It was really nice to meet M finally, and capture Little Mr. L. His chocolate brown eyes are to die for. I loved how they caught the light! :) I will post more about that session later!
Nap time! And, time to check out the soon to be new owners of our neighbors house. I haven't posted anything about that move because I have been in denial...but the house has officially sold, and a new family will be coming in. I will be taking post on my driveway "playing" sidewalk chalk to get a glimpse of our soon to be neighbors. Oh how we miss the K family. :(

This was one of the first shots of the day...you can see that Cakes (left) isn't into this at all!!!!
I like this one..even though they are checking out the people working in the garden!

A Posting Fool!
Seriously, two posts in one evening?!?!? What? My husband is playing softball, so it gives me a good chance to sit and go through images that need editing. I came across the following picture. It was taken during the middle of KJ's session. Yes, this is one of the examples of what happens during sessions at my home. Thankfully Aunt L is very cooperative and loves my girls to pieces. Why do I have to post this one? I wish she was in a cuter outfit, I wish her hair was brushed all cute, but this picture shows my Bean's personality. She is wearing her new bathing suit (feeling like Little Mermaid, and posing like her), her eyes are sparkling, but most of all you can see all of her angel kisses. The little red marks between her eyebrows, on the right side of her nose and above her lip. I love these little marks. Every time I "notice" them, I remember the day she was born, and remember falling in love with those little marks and staring in awe at her beauty. I don't notice them as often now. They mainly stand out when she runs around, cries or is sweaty. In this case, she was running around singing, "Part of That World". So, that explains the reasoning behind two posts. I couldn't resist this picture and wanted to share it with all of you!

P.S. Here is one of Cakes from the same day. Her personality shining too...stripping herself down to her onesie by noon, ketchup on her mouth due to unwillingness to cooperate with the wipedown, and CRAZY hair because she never lets anything be in it! "No pony." Those two words are very clear! Love my girls! Thank you God for my blessings!

Posting...

My goal is to post at least every other day...something...some sort of picture...even if it is my own kiddos! This will help me practice more and more and learn more and more. So today's post will be of my niece G. Tonight is her party...we are headed there in minutes. I asked her in this picture a couple of weeks ago what she wanted for her birthday..."Umm...A Baby Alive...Just like Beans." :) She is a sweetie! :) Happy Birthday My Sweet Niece! I remember your first cry...the first time I held you...you are a very special girl to me!

Happy Birthday N!
Today was a fabulous day. Full of memories from four short years ago...memories that started four years ago yesterday, but continued until today with the birth of our oldest, N. She was beautiful from the beginning, and looking back, so much of her personality was shining through from day one - determined, independent but reserves the right to be shy, outgoing, expressive, sweet and tender. My sweet, sweet girl. Four years old. Where does the time truly go? I am so fortunate to be able to spend my days with her (and M), for I know these years will go fast and are so precious.
The party went well, and N had a blast. It was fun to kind of let her run the show for the night...when to eat, when to open presents, and when to eat cake...and then played like crazy with Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.
And of course a picture...from my session with Lucas on Friday. I know why I prefer on location sessions..."Mom, can I be in it? Can I be in one NOW? Don't forget about our picture with Lucas." And, she didn't let me forget. I liked this one in black and white, but I think that both girls eyes sparkle in color. Yes, N is still in pj's and M would have been too, except that she stripped down to a onesie. N would stay in pj's all day, and sometimes does, can you blame her?
So, Happy Birthday Beans! I love you.
