Here you will find my "typical" pictures, thoughts and ideas and sneak peaks from sessions. I LOVE taking pictures, particularly children. Capturing that perfect moment in time, to last a lifetime is my goal. So, sit back and relax, while reading through my blog, getting to know me and my family, and getting a glimpse of what a session might contain! P.S. I am sure this will also contain an occasional rambling of goings on in my life...enjoy!
This session Saturday morning was COLD, was BEAUTIFUL and was FUN! I don't think I have laughed so much in a session ever! Miss E, a Senior at Perrysburg, and her wonderful parents were a blast. My dad works with "M" (the dad) and he was a hoot! He hunted down the perfect spots, full of color and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. How often does a dad 1. attend a senior session with his child and 2. help to find the best spots in the park?!?!?!? He also did a great job providing some artificial shade when needed! "T", the momma, was an absolute delight also, traipsing around the park with us and also helping with whatever was needed (carrying my camera bag, and my dreaded box!) The laughter from all three still brings a smile to my face! Thank you so much "N" family for all of the fun on that beautiful sunny morning!
So, this senior session was probably the coldest and dreariest day possible, but we totally made work! The location was absolutely fabulous, thanks Bedford Hills Golf Club! There were super cool rocks, great holes on the water, cool barn, great brick...and more! I was so geeked when I showed up for the session. The original plan was to just get some shots on the course, and move on to other locations around town...but it was a one stop deal!
Mr. N was a total trooper that morning. It was cold. Very cold. It was misty at first, and well, then it flat out was raining! He worked with me through it all, and I am super pleased with the results so far! I laughed a little thinking that if this was a girl session we would have cancelled!!! It was great to meet you N and I am so glad that I also got to meet you K (the momma!) in person. You are so sweet, and I had fun riding around in the golf cart with you! Oh yes...thanks so much for grabbing my "box" for me...I forgot it everywhere we went...including when I left! LOL!
Love the red barn...
He has the prettiest smile...
See the wet cement...and wet brick...it seriously rained...hard!
Of course, headshots are still yet to come for Mr. N...as we are STILL not in our house! But, there is an end in site. We are moving in hopefully October 22nd...and all of our items should be moved in by then also, and then our clothes come October 23rd. Thankful for our current living conditions, but O-SO (anyone out there that watches Disney, you know OSO also!) ready to be back in our own home.
Well, keeping my fingers crossed that this beautiful rain we have had for about 2 weeks now will clear up for a fun family session tomorrow...AND, I literally scheduled out a time block for a session with my kids...so you will have to come back and check out how big my little man has gotten!
Here a few quick shots from a Senior session from last week. The weather cooperated perfectly, thankfully, since it was the second try at the session! Thanks for being such a trooper traveling around town for these shots!
J is a cousin of my husband's, and if you have ever seen my husband, you would definitely say that he and J look very much alike. Throughout the session, I felt like I was looking back 12 years ago through my lens at my Tom. The similar expressions were really what killed me! Anyways, I have known J since he was 4 and feisty! He didn't care too much for me back then, because I took Tom away from having fun (4 year old fun) at family functions. I believe when Aunt Janet used to tell him that Tom would be there he would reply with, "Is he bringing that girl?" Hahahahaha! I am that girl! I am hoping he likes me a little better now! ;)
Anyways, it really was fun doing a session with him. Such a great young man, and of course I had lots of laughs with Aunt Janet. Thanks for coming all the way here for the session! Here are a few sneak peeks...
So far, this one is my favorite!
You are not seeing double, the next two are the same picture, just with a different effect on them...I can't decide which one I like better...the top one with more bold contrasting or the bottom one which looks a little softer...
Hope you are having a great weekend. Our pool party has been delayed due to the beautiful gloom that has been hanging over us. I think the kids will swim no matter what later though...and I am secretly hoping that I don't have to...I think that will be a Dad thing! ;)
First of all, thank you to Miss C and family for your patience with me getting your sneak peeks up here! It has been a busy, busy week...filled with editing, and well, filled with taking care of my sweet kiddos! Miss C is beyond gorgeous. She was so easy to capture and photograph, and was a total natural in front of the camera. So instead of continuing to go on and on about her beauty on this beautiful morning last week, I will let the pictures show you!
My baby sister's graduation party is tomorrow, and then graduation Sunday...so a fun filled weekend ahead! Enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!
This beautiful Senior girl, Miss B, is my sister Kiersten's bestie. This gorgeous girl came all the way from Indiana for this session. The morning couldn't have been more beautiful; great light, great setting, and a great temperature! What a gorgeous weekend all in all!
Here are a few of the beautiful young lady...to B, I hope you enjoy them, and aren't too critical of yourself like my lovely sister who thinks she looks funny in half of her pictures!!!! LOL!!!!
...too cute!
...love all the dandelions in this one...the yellow is so pretty!

Many of you know my story, know the name for the initials for my business, know the heartache that we experienced in November 2007. This is a great organization, that I wish I would have known about back then. Check it out and donate to help this non-profit organization: www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org Someday, I would like to volunteer, but my heart is not ready just yet.
