Bean and Cakes

It was the first weekend in quite some time that I haven't had a session, which means that I haven't edited/proofed pictures. So, I took my girls out for a session today. I needed to update their pictures, needed more practice with my new camera and it was a beautiful day outside. I will post the pictures of the cooperativeness of my little ladies! It is quite humorous. I was getting frustrated, thinking, it is never this difficult to do sessions with other peoples kids. Then I remembered. My kids have a camera in their face all the time, and I think they are quite sick of it! So, a few good ones and a few showcase my kids personalities! :) Love them!

This was preceded by, "Where are Cakies eyes?" Nope, not going to look...not at all...not at anything!

So it led to these next three...I do love piggies.

And then, Uncle Lucas came out, and all was well with the world!

Avoiding Mom and camera at all cost...

This was the highlight for them. They totally loved blowing the seeds off the dandelions...

Big Sister helping out...too cute!

These next two were the first two of the day. Suddenly, she was too cold for picture taking, and wanted her sweater. You know, the one she insisted on leaving at home, because she wasn't cold at all!

Scowling...this is going to be great fun!

All in all, the "session" wasn't too bad. I did get some great pics, and after I reminded myself to chill, I had a blast following my own little ones around for a "professional" session.
Off to bed... Have a great night!

Updated...

Some of the galleries on my website. You or your kiddo may be on there now! :) I have some more to add, but need to be done for today! Here are a few "flower" pictures. I was experimenting with my new camera! I LOVE it by the way! Have a great Monday!

The lone pink and white tulip amongst all red ones...Beans favorite one!

My neighbors marigolds...they remind me of my mom. Maybe it is because we used to bring home little ones in styrofoam cups from Sunday School/Preschool for her every Mother's Day.

Not sure what the red flowers are...but I thought they were pretty. I SO don't have green thumbs!!!!

Happy Mother's Day...

Although it is quite dreary out, it has been a great day. Enjoyed a wonderful church service, lunch (that I didn't have to make any part of) and shortly am headed to take a quick snooze...in my bed!!!! My girlies gave me a plate that they made with Mimi...too cute and then also a camera bag for my new camera and gear! I am very excited about both gifts! I remember making plates for my mom when I was younger...Beans was the most excited about that gift I think. Of course, my favorite thing today was the card from my husband. He is always very sweet and sincere and I look forward to his little notes on occasions throughout the year. Hope you have a great day. Here are a few shots from last night. My youngest brother and sister had Prom last night. I don't have any pictures of them with their dates to post (need their permission) so you just get to see how cute the two of them are! Oh yeah, for those of you who knew, my dad's knee surgery went well on Thursday and he got home on Saturday. He is sore but doing well! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!

Ty man...waiting for Kierst to be ready!

The classic lilac bush that has been a part of ALL Prom pictures!

Her hair was so pretty...had to include a picture of it!

Meet my CRAZY brothers!

We were minus one brother (lives in Dayton) here. We were celebrating my mom's birthday at our house a couple evenings ago, when one brother, Noah, asked if anyone had ever played "shake face". Of course, we all said "No." Well, he proceeded to tell us about it, and said that you had to take pictures of the action. Of course they all wanted to try it, even though they were told it will give you a headache. Perhaps the brain smashing against the skull isn't such a great idea! Here are some of the pictures. Those of you visiting for the first time, please know that this is NOT what your pictures will look like, and this is NOT what a typical session consists of! ;) I just had to share a part of my life with all of you. I can always count on laughing, teasing and fun when we are all together...especially if the "boys" are there! I love you boys. (Tyler decided to not try "Shake Face" since he already had a headache...smart kid!)

The Boys: Noah, Tyler, Lucas, Clint and Jonah

In order from Oldest to Youngest....

Clint...no one said you had to cross your eyes, but in every picture of his...they were crossed. Definitely adds to the effect!!! Yes, he is married, owns a home and has a great job...would you guess that from this picture?!?!?!?!

Jonah...his cheeks didn't flap as well...and he for some reason thought that you had to have your eyes closed!!! Jonah is the dad of K.J on here...poor K.J...she will be embarrassed some day!

Noah...the originator of the "Shake Face". He has some flappy cheeks! Also has a great job and is movin' on up in life!

Lucas...had to post two of these because I couldn't pick the best one. Yes, this is the brother who is on the National Tour of the Broadway show Spring Awakening. Wonder if his agent would like these for head shots?!?!?!? :)

And then, my Bean, decides to be a part of the action also. Thanks boys! Here is her result...more of a scream vs. a shake! LOL!

Birthday Mimi, with 5 of the 6 grandkids.

Hope you enjoyed getting to know another little part of my life! What would I do with out my sibs?!?!? Love them.

More on the bridge...

This one is too cute of C...running and jumping all the way down the bridge!

Don't those smiles just make you have to smile?

Father's Day...

I am thinking up some sort of special for Father's Day (was too late to do it for Mother's Day)...so stay tuned to see what is in store! :)

He he he...

My new header...I am so in love with this picture! I know, I should be in bed...or at least working on my website!!! It needs some updating!

Another Slide Show...

Well, the proofs of Baby S are off to the parents. I thought I would share a quick slide show of some of the shots from that session. Some are repeats from a previous blog, and the show goes a bit longer than the song, but I think you can handle it! :) This is one of my girls favorite songs...their Daddy sings it to them all the time at bedtime, especially when they were babies. "P" family, your session work is next! I hope to have those finished by Friday! To everyone else who takes the time to check in and keep up with what I am doing, I want to say thanks! I like to know that there are readers out there, and friends/family that care to take a peek at my work too! Have a great night! :)

Cute Kiddos...

These little ones are very dear to me. They are my sweet friend M's little ones. She is expecting number 3 in June, and wanted to get some spring pics of her two little cuties! They are cuties for sure. They were so cooperative, and I think had a pretty good time running around Wildwood. Here are a few quick sneak peeks that jumped out at me. I love BOTH of their eyes, and how they catch the light. Too sweet!

I love how these turned out...especially because they were both full of giggles!

This was sweet how they were holding hands and running together. Very cool bridge too!

I love C's eyes in this one!

Natural poser!

Aren't Miss A's eyes so pretty?

I think she had a dandelion in her hand the WHOLE time!!! It was so cute!

Stay tuned...

All my avid readers...LOL!!! I have another session tomorrow morning at Wildwood Metropark. I am very excited! It should be full of energy and personality as I capture a cute 4 year old boy and his 2 year old sister!!!! Off to bed...finally.

So it isn't Sunday...

but, it is EARLY Monday, and I haven't slept yet, and it still feels like "today" so it counts as Sunday and that was my goal in getting more pictures posted! It was hard to choose which ones to post, but it would take FOR-EV-ER to post all of my favorites. Here are just a few. So many things about the little newborn that are so fresh, and uplifting, and only come with the first couple weeks of life...like flaky skin!!!! :)

Can you believe all of the hair???? I LOVE it!!!!

Told you there are so many things that I love about newborns...including their "button" as we say in our home. So stinkin' tiny and new!

The beautiful, happy family!

I love the little fuzz on the back...

I posted this one so you could get a glimpse of how long her hair really is! She is only 9 days old!!!! My kids didn't have that kind of hair for MONTHS!

Snoozin' in Mommy's Arms...I love the little furrowed brow!

This one makes me giggle. She really was trying to stay asleep, but wasn't sleepy enough to hang with this position. I was lucky to get one good one right before she started to cry. What is it about that new little cry that you have to make sure they are soothed immediately?!?!? Don't you love the baggy wrinkly skin on her knees?

Daddy's arms...before the hang position above!!!!

Once she was placed on Daddy's back, it was night night time! That skin to skin contact, oh so soothing for the newbies!!!! Thought this was a sweet one of her adoring Mommy too.

Still snoozing on the back...cool picture with the tattoo!!!

Here she is...

Here is Little Tiny Miss S.

I am sorry that there is only one picture right now to post, but I promise there will be more! My process in editing images is to look through each of them and then as they pop out to me I go with them. This one above TOTALLY stole my heart. I am not sure if it is the sleepy expression, the tininess of her little body, or the love I know that S-Mom is feeling in her heart as she is holding her. You can't understand that love until you experience it for yourself...and you can't explain it because it is so much deeper than words. So, this little picture literally brought tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat remembering how that felt to hold my little babies so close when they were so new and just beginning life in this world.

Enough of my babble...I will post more sometime today hopefully. She was a perfect little angel yesterday. I could have spent all day taking pictures of her!!!! Sorry about the house being so hot S and J!!! ;) It really was for the sake of your little lady!!!!

Until later...
